PRODUCTS
As an independent installer, Headwater is not limited to promoting the products of one manufacturer. Working with all of the leading manufacturers allows us to buy our liner at discounted rates at opportune times. We offer the full menu of products on the market. Whether following engineering specifications or working with private landowners to custom design a lining system, we provide the proper solution to the problem. In addition to identifying the best solution, we install the liner to the industry’s highest specification requirements and do so while implementing the industry’s most stringent safety procedures.
HDPE -High Density Polyethylene is the most common long term liner used in the world. It requires specialized equipment and experience to install, but is by far the most economical, functional, and UV stable product on the market. Also available in Linear Low Density Polyethylene. 30 to 120 mil thickness.
PVC -Polyvinyl Chloride offers an economical solution when single piece liners are required. They are pre-fabricated in controlled environments and offer ease of installation and repair. PVC is not UV stable, so long term performance requires adequate soil coverage. 20 to 60 mil thickness.
Reinforced Liners -Reinforced Polypropylene (RPP), Hypalon (CHDPE), and Elvaloy-based liners (XR-5, Coolguard, Cool-shield) are containment specific product lines for a variety of specialized needs. They offer dimensional stability for UV exposed applications and excellent chemical resistance for hazardous containment. 36, 45, and 60 mil thickness.
EPDM -Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer is a cured rubber lining system available in single pieces up to 50’ x 200’. The product is UV stable and conforms well to small, oddly shaped ponds. It cannot be welded by controlled heat fusion machinery, so a tape system must be incorporated.
GCL -Geosynthetic Clay Liner is a sodium bentonite based composite fabric that has clay imbedded in differing woven and nonwoven geotextile layers. Traditionally used in landfill and secondary containment systems, we also incorporate this product into stream and canal liners.
Tarpaulins -Woven Coated Polyethylene liners have been the primary product used for temporary liners. Tarpaulins are not suitable for long term containment, due to the small amount of impermeable coating (<2.5 mils), which is not especially resistant to abrasion. 9 mil, 12 mil, 14 mil, 16 mil, 20 mil, and 24 mil available.
Geotextiles and Geocomposites -Headwater Lining carries a full line of non-woven geotextiles and net-core geocomposites that are used for underlayment and overlayment protection for projects with poor sub-grades. They are also incorporated for gas venting under exposed liner applications.
